We had a lovely girls weekend away (grandmothers, mums, granddaughters), the Menzies staff were superb, the rooms extra large, comfortable and above all quiet (we had an infant with us) Great location though our GPS got horribly confused on the way to and from the hotel. The parking map was not much help on that score (some arrows recommending best route would be better). Also there was a sign on bathroom mirror to use the exhaust fan - we would have if we could have found it. Housekeeping were on the ball and very generous regards our excessive demand for towels. The infant Eloise loved her first swim in the heated indoor pool. Great stay allround, will recomment to others. I am glad we rang to clarify "Double Standard means two double beds in the room" before booking online. Thanks again

I was just wanting to write a quick email to thank you for making our stay in Sydney last Saturday night an exceptional one. Your staff were fantastic!! Andrew at concierge was absolutely amazing and went well beyond the call of duty when I was after a particular item for my friend. I recently stayed at The Menzies Sydney for the first time on 14 & 15 September 2011. I am a lawyer and so booked my accommodation at The Menzies because it was close to the NSW Supreme Court where I had to appear at a court hearing on 15 September 2011. My partner and I drove to Sydney from Canberra on 14 September and after battling the Sydney traffic were very stressed when we arrived at the hotel. I was also feeling very stressed about my court hearing the following day. However, upon our arrival outside the hotel, we were met by Andrew (concierge/duty manager) who made us feel very welcome and at ease. Andrew treated us like VIP guests and nothing was too much trouble for him. He made the process of parking our car in the carpark very easy with his clear directions and calming manner. He also called us "the beautiful people" which my partner and I will always remember with fondness of our stay at The Menzies. After a long day in Court on 15 September, my partner and I returned to the hotal to collect our bags to head back to Canberra. We were once again met by Andrew and it was due to his caring attitude and welcoming manner that we then decided to stay another night at The Menzies. We were also upgraded to an executive suite for the price of a standard room, which was something that had never happened to us before. The room was huge and we enjoyed a rare night away from our children in absolute luxury. Thank you Andrew and The Menzies, we will definitely be coming back to stay again very soon.

Stayed at the Menzies for 8 nights. The staff were very friendly, helpful and courteous. The food was excellent. I enjoyed the gym, the pool and just relaxing in the comfy chairs by the piano bar and in the lobby. But the best thing about the Menzies is the location. Right across the street from the train station and one block over from super shopping on George Street. I had an excellent vacation.

Stayed overnight to do the Sydney Fun Run. The Menzies was recommended by the Fun Run organisers. From check in to checkout the staff could not have been more friendly or helpfull. Our room was very clean and well appointed, the bed was extremely comfortable. We had dinner et the Parkside Restaurant. The food was great and the young lady who looked after us was delightful. Overall a lovely weekend and will definately visit the Menzies in the future.

Stayed at The Menzies for 4 nights (2 adults, 2 teenagers). Would recommend it to anyone. Staff were friendly and couldn't do enough to make every guest feel welcome, regardless of age (esp concierge Andrew). Would recommend staying here to everyone and would most certainly stay here again. Location is perfect. Rooms were clean and well serviced. The service offered by the staff was impeccable. Family friendly. Thanks for a memorable holiday!

Great hotel. I attended a work 2 day conference (21 & 22 june) & stayed over night. Cannot fault anything. From the rooms to the conference rooms to the bars & such a great relaxed but yet sofisticated atmosphere. The staff were friendly & helpful at all times. Chris did a great job attending to nearly 20 people's needs for 2 days.... Will stay again, personal or work related.

I couldn't be more impressed with The Menzie's. We had a wonderful stay. The rooms were comfortable and cosy and our breakfast as part of our room price was excellent. The location was ideal for our needs, as we walked all over the city. After checking out and finding that our flight had been cancelled; Andrew the concierge arranged for us to have a complimentary room for the day so that we weren't left stranded. Their genorosity was second to none. Thanks so much for a wonderful experience.

Stayed for one night with my 3 nephews. The service was fantastic, location couldnt be beaten and when the manager sat on the floor next to my nephew and asked him how his stay was, I was more than satisfied with my choice of hotel. Will be staying again for sure.

This is our first stay in the Menzies (29/12/2010-04/01/2011). It was a very enjoyable atmosphere to be in and the staff were very helpful and attentive :) Its location is wonderful and I recommend it to anyone looking for a luxurios hotel :) Thank-you :)

Superb hotel. Friendly staff, especially bar and restaurant. Great nights in piano bar. Everyone really friendly. Would highly recommend.

I stayed at The Menzies with a friend on Oct 30. We had flown to Sydney to sail to Melbourne on a cruise for the Melbourne Cup which was cancelled at short notice. The staff at The Menzies were wonderful and our room was great with a view over the park. We were impressed right from the start with the friendly service provided by Andrew at concierge and Daniel at reception. The complimentary wine was a beautiful touch and much appreciated.

My husband and i recently stayed at the menzies on the 25th august. We were quite taken by the freindly and warm staff,at the menzies chain. thank you for the stay cant wait to visit again cheers see you again next year.

This is our first visit to Sydney. Reception staff were very accomodating to our request and was very helpful. Room was comfortable and spacious. Thank you for your warm hospitality and will consider to stary at your hotel for our next visit.

We stayed at The Menzies in January 2006 when we went to Sydney for our silver wedding anniversary. We were overwhelmed by the hospitality we received from all the staff that it was a no brainer when we booked again for January 2011 for our 30th wedding anniversary. We just won't concider any other hotels in the city.

Stayed with a friend for a girls weekend away. Staff were all lovely and very helpful. Had the best nights sleep as the beds were so comfortable. Would definately stay again. Great spot, close to the train, and the free bus to get around the city. Highly recommend The Menzies to everyone.

My husband and myself along with our 4 children have been staying at the Menzies for over 30 years each time we visit Sydney. We have always enjoyed our stays and found interesting the way the Menzies has evolved over these years. The staff and service are second to none. The location is superb and we are always treated with excellence. Well done.

My husband, two daughters and myself just returned from a wonderful vacation in Sydney. The Menzies accomodations were wonderful. Excellent staff, very courteous, helpful and knowledgeable about Sydney info. We would definitely stay at the Menzies if we were to return to Sydney. Only one minor mishap, when we checked our bill before leaving we had been overcharged for one item, but it was corrected right away very courteously.

The rooms are clean and adequate, the staff very friendly and helpful with a service above average. We were very happy with our stay of 4 nights at the Menzies and would recommend it if you want quiet surroundings with easy access to transport.

Excellent hotel made very welcome myself and 3 kids all the way from ireland plenty to do plenty of room to move about the staff were brill hoping to come again just with my sister this time. sorry took so long to write i just forgot all about until i went to check on yous again.

One of the most comfy beds we have ever slept in. Made us realise just how dreadfully hard our mattress is at home, hence we have now changed it. So thanks Menzies.

Spent a great week in this marvellous hotel with its excellent central location to Sydney CBD. Can't falt the service from the ever helpful staff and extras provided were way above and beyond what you would expect from a busy Hotel. Professionalism is not just a word but a way of catering for the customers. I was very happy with everything on site and have already recommended the Hotel to fellow travellers in WA planning a visit to NSW. You made my stay both memorable and enjoyable. Thank you all very much.
